  • You will drive one of our company’s, new Tesla Model 3’s. (Subject to availability and your personal circumstances)
  • You will NOT pay for the vehicle, fuel (electricity) (apart from personal usage) insurance, PHV licence, MOT, congestion charge or vehicle maintenance. (Terms & Conditions apply).
  • Option to own the vehicle after 4 years of working for Carrot Cars. (Terms & Conditions apply).
  • The commission is 49.5% of the Carrot Cars base charge rate –  No hidden charges.
  • Income expectations:
    • 40h = £500 – 750 (In your pocket)
    • 65h = £750 – £1250 (In your pocket)
  • You must be available to accept jobs from our service areas minimum of 8.5h per day (including 30 minutes break) – a minimum of 5 days per week.
  • No minimum contract; however, one month notice period is requiered.
  • Deposit £500 (£250 before starting and £250 deducted from your first statement)
  • You are allowed to take 1 week holiday for every three months worked.
  • Based in Canary Wharf, London (This is the busiest area). However, taking bookings all over London.
  • All our drivers wear a suit, plain white shirt + Company tie
  • Fantastic Customer Service skills and a good driving manner are required.
  • Best customers in London (polite, good manners and respectful). Rude and unfair customers will be blacklisted!

Agreed shift

  • You are required to be able to accept jobs 8.5hours per day, including 30 minutes break. Although you can choose the time of the day you are working, you will be asked to commit to the shift that you have chosen, so we know if we can take more bookings for you.
  • You will be asked to work a minimum of 5 days per week; however, you can always make more money when working extra days.
  • You will be allowed to take two weeks’ holidays per every three months worked; however, you will be required to pay for insurance and personal electricity usage while on holidays.
  • A charge of £80 plus VAT will be applied per day if you do not hold up your commitment to work a minimum 5 days per week.

Tips

Drivers who concentrate on giving great customer service can make up to 20% extra income from tips (you keep 100%), however, tips should always be seen as a gesture of gratitude from your customers, not an expectation!

Surge Pricing:

Monday to Friday: We charge our customers extra surge charge between 6am – 9am & 4pm – 7pm
Saturday and Sunday: Whole day!

Working only a few hours per week won’t make you rich. Open Shift requires a great deal of self-discipline and willingness to work more hours.

It is also strongly advised not to take any weekends off, as this is always one of the busiest times of the week to make money.

Commission for Carrot Cars base charging rate:

  • 49.5%  per job.
  • £10 per day personal fuel (electricity) charge, only for your days off.
  • Insurance charge of £55 per week only when you go on holiday.
  • £57.15 + vat per day charge only if you haven’t worked the required 5 days.
  • £750 insurance excess, only if an accident occurs, that is your fault.

The security deposit amount is £500. (£250 paid while reserving the vehicle, and £250 from your first earnings statement)

The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after your last job with our company, presuming that you don’t have an outstanding balance due to the Company, that all the Company’s belongings have been returned in good condition/working order, and that the vehicle has no developed damage or faults due to unreasonable usage. Additional funds may be held from your account if the deposit amount doesn’t cover any outstanding balances.

Induction includes:

Test at the end of the induction

  • Safe driving skills
  • Knowledge of the major landmarks, and topographical skill
  • Vehicle condition check
  • Everything that was taught to you in the training

Please note that the minimum pass rate for the test is 80%. Some points in the test may lead to an immediate failure, such as a bad vehicle condition etc.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer you a position with our Company if you fail the test. In some cases we may allow you to attend the induction again and retake the test.

Induction session’s timescale and availability

Induction appointments are currently held every:

  • Monday 5 pm – 7 pm
  • Wednesday 5 pm – 7 pm
  • Friday 10am – 12pm & 3pm – 5pm

Each of the induction sessions has limited spaces and can be pre-booked on a first come, first served basis

After successful competition of the induction and the tests, you can start working immediately

  • The induction is free of charge; however, we ask you to pay £25 deposit which will be refundable to you – even if you decide not to join our company.
  • You will lose the the £25 only if you don’t show up.

All Carrot Cars drivers (Contractors) must follow the uniform standards.

  • Full suit (Matching jacket and trousers)
  • White shirt (Plain white shirt, ironed, long sleeves, no stripes, checks or pattern)
  • Carrot Cars tie (Provided on your first day)
  • Formal black shoes
  • The top / first button of the shirt must always be closed
  • Shirt, suit and shoes must fit perfectly

PS: We do not recommend joining Carrot Cars if you live far away from, or cannot easily get into our service area, as this will increase your fuel costs and commuting time significantly

Our control centre is open 24/7/365. You can always call if you need assistance.

Carrot Cars follow a strict protocol for data protection. We won’t share your personal, financial or work-related information with any third party or establishment.

The only information given out is the standard requirements by the London Taxi & Private Hire Authority, which requires informing the customer who has booked the car of your name, driver number, vehicle details and your mobile number.

Please note that the certain authorities can overrule the data protection protocol of our company – this includes court judges, police, etc.

We will collect information relevant to our legal obligations as an employer or as a contracted party for drivers and may include your name, phone number and email, in addition to address, bank account details, licencing information and information relating to criminal convictions, health information and other information as part of our screening and vetting processes.

You will be committed to a minimum term contract of 1 month, which after your can hand back the vehicle with 1 month’s notice.

If you what to own the vehicle at the end of 4 years then you must commit to working with us for the whole 4 year period.
