Congestion Charge Compensation
March 18, 201910
As you already know, from April the 8th, all Private Hire vehicles will be subject to pay the congestion charge. We all agree that this is extremely unfair legislation, but it is what it is, and there is nothing that anyone can do.
To compensate for the cost at least partially, we have two suggestion, which we ask for your help to decide on.
- We can add £2 extra fee to every job that is from or to the congestion charge zone. (It looks that many other companies have taken this approach)
- We can rise all our prices, regardlessly if it has anything to do with CCZ, by 5%
Therefore, please vote below, so we can hear what you have to say and go with the majority vote.
Vote closes on the 1st of April!
Guys i have no words to Thank you that you are thinking of us THE DRIVERS.
I have always said to my colleagues, that i am shure ,that you guys will give us a support on this.Carrot cars is the best.
On behalf of Carrot cars fleet i would like to THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for your kind words Sergiu.
5% increase would work better for compensating for the Congestion Charge, as most days we would have 1 to 3 to the CC zone. And 2 to 6£ extra will not help much. For most full time drivers who are making 1000£ or more gross, 5% would be about 50£ extra a week, which would almost fully compensate the Congestion Charge.
Thank you, Ivan. Makes sense. Let’s see what the final vote will be:)
Not sure if 5% would cover the extra daily expance.
10% would be more preferable.
Thanks for understanding..
Agreed – 50% will be even better….
I think 5% is best in rhis circumstance and should be adopted.
Keep voting guys!
I prefer a 5% increase and even higher during peak times. Thank you. The reason being, you polite more during peak times because of heavy traffic. I thank you and hope my suggestions will be taken into consideration.
Many thanks,
Pamadu
